“Best AI to tailor a resume to a job description” is not the same question as “best AI resume builder”. Builders help you make a document. Tailors rewrite one you already have against a posting. FitMyCV
Built for one bottleneck: a tailored CV and cover letter from a job URL. Upload once, paste LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, or a careers page, edit the draft, export a single-column PDF. It does not invent employers, dates, or metrics. It is the wrong tool if you have no CV yet.
FastApply
FastApply is aimed at people who want to send more applications, not write a better one. If the product you need is “apply faster”, it may fit. If the product you need is “this CV actually matches this posting”, treat it as a different category. High volume without a constrained rewrite is how generic CVs scale.
MatchCV
MatchCV sits closer to the Jobscan-plus-rewrite idea: score the CV against a description, then adjust. Useful if you want the diagnosis and the edit in one tab. Confirm whether the rewrite is allowed to add skills you did not evidence — that is the line that matters more than the score.
Teal
Teal is a job-search hub that also rewrites. The tailor is not the whole product; the tracker is. Pick Teal when the pain is a messy pipeline. Pick a dedicated tailor when the pain is the document. Plenty of people use both.
Rezi
