Why keyword extraction is the first step
Before you rewrite a single bullet you need to know what the employer is actually asking for, not what the role is called, but which specific terms carry the weight. Postings bury this: a requirement mentioned once in a bullet list matters far less than a phrase repeated in the summary, the responsibilities, and the requirements.

How many keywords should I include?
Cover the terms you can honestly evidence and stop there. Density targets are a myth. Repeating a term ten times does not outrank mentioning it once inside a bullet with a result attached, and it reads badly to the human at the end.
