A Huntr alternative that skips the tracker

Huntr is a job tracker with a tailoring feature attached. If you want the kanban board, the autofill, and 100 applications in one place, Huntr is the better buy and this page will not talk you out of it. If you only ever wanted the tailored CV, you are paying for a workspace you do not open.

One product, two jobs

Huntr bundles a job tracker and a resume tailor. That is a genuine advantage when you are running thirty live applications and need to remember who you spoke to. It is dead weight when you apply to four roles a month and just want the CV to fit.

The pricing follows the bundle. You pay for the tracker whether or not you open it.

Where Huntr is genuinely better

The autofill is the part people underrate. Huntr fills application forms from your saved profile, and on a portal that asks for your entire work history in separate fields, that saves real time. We do nothing like it.

The free tier is also generous on the tracking side: 100 jobs, unlimited contacts, unlimited autofills. If you are early in a search and want structure for nothing, start there.

Where the subscription stops making sense

Job searches end. A subscription does not, unless you remember to cancel it. That is the argument for a one time price: you buy the tool, you find the job, and there is no monthly line item running against a problem you no longer have.

If you want to test the difference

Run your current CV through the free ATS resume checker against a real posting. It shows the keyword gaps without an account. If the gaps look like the reason you are not hearing back, tailoring from the job link is the fix.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Huntr alternative?

It depends on which half of Huntr you actually use. If you want the pipeline tracking and the application autofill, nothing here replaces that, and Huntr does it well. If the tracker sat untouched and you were really there for the tailoring, FitMyCV does that one job from a job link.

Is there a free Huntr alternative?

Huntr's free plan gives you two job tailored resumes, then asks you to upgrade. Our free ATS resume checker has no scan limit and no account, because the matching runs in your browser. It scores and shows keyword gaps. The rewrite itself is paid.

How much does Huntr cost compared to FitMyCV?

As of September 2026, Huntr Pro lists $40 a month, or $90 billed quarterly, or $160 billed every six months. FitMyCV is $9.99 a month or $29.99 once for lifetime access. Six months of Huntr Pro is roughly five times our one time price. Check both pages before deciding, since these change.

Does FitMyCV track my applications?

There is a saved list of everything you have tailored, so you can find the CV you sent to a role three weeks ago. It is not a pipeline board and it does not autofill applications. If that workflow matters to you, Huntr is built for it and we are not.

Can I use both?

Yes, and it is a reasonable setup. Track in Huntr on the free tier, tailor here, upload the finished PDF to the Huntr record. You keep the board without paying for tailoring twice.
